2. What does your service cost me?
We do not charge the homeowner for our services.
3. Will you take over my payments?
Under certain circumstances, SCO or one of our partners makes payments to your lender/loan-servicer for you. In this situation, you will essentially be providing seller-financing to another party who will live in the home (instead of you), and they make payments directly to your lender/loan-servicer.
4. Will you pay me to short sell my home?
No. That is illegal. Whether you call it “money for moving expenses” or “$7,500 for the beat up couch”, it’s still illegal.
5. Do you “guarantee” my home won’t be foreclosed on?
No. But, with your help, we may be able to keep your home from being foreclosed on.
6. Will you negotiate a loan modification with my lender?
No. The Second Chance Opportunity Program does not negotiate loan modifications. The loan modification advertiser shown on the right does. Check them out.
7. Do I send my mortgage payment to you…and you forward it to my lender?
No. You do not send your mortgage payments to us. Your mortgage payments should be sent directly to your lender.
8. Do I sign over the title of my house to the Second Chance Opportunity Program?
No. This sounds like a scam. The only time your property title would be transferred is when SCO or one of our partners/clients buy your home.
9. Will you buy my home?
Under certain circumstances, it’s possible that SCO or one of our partners/clients may buy your home.
10. What is the best solution for me?
The answer to that is what makes most sense to you for your particular situation. SCO recommends that you consult with an attorney and a CPA regarding your specific situation.
11. Do loan modifications work?
For some, they do. Check-out the loan modification advertisement to the right.
